Field notes

Endemic to a restricted range in the northwestern Brazilian state of Amazonas.
Currently classified as Endangered by the IUCN due to habitat loss and the illegal pet trade.
Distinguished from its close relatives by the lack of yellow on the cheeks and a more concentrated red 'diadem' on the forehead.
