Field notes

It possesses one of the longest tails of any corvid, which can account for more than two-thirds of its total body length.
They are highly vocal mimics, often imitating the calls of other birds, including predatory raptors.
This species frequently engages in cooperative breeding, where non-breeding individuals help raise the offspring of a dominant pair.
